Our School Library

A library is a place where books by various writers and of diverse interests are arranged systematically on bookshelves. It is rightly called the storehouse of knowledge. A school library serves both students and teachers by offering access to a wide range of books and reading materials. Our school has a large and well-equipped library. It is located in one corner of the first floor and is beautifully decorated. The library is divided into two sections. One section contains a spacious reading room and a counter for issuing books. A librarian is in charge of this counter and manages book borrowing and returning. There is a computer at the counter where the librarian keeps records of issued and returned books. Each student is given a library card and is allowed to borrow books. A student can keep a borrowed book at home for up to one week. In the other section of the library, books are neatly arranged in almirahs and bookshelves. The reading room has several tables and chairs arranged in rows, and each table features a globe that highlights important geographical features. These globes help spark students’ interest in geography. The library has proper walking space between tables and chairs, allowing students to read comfortably. Many serious students use this space to read and take notes. There are around two thousand books in our school library, including storybooks, novels, dramas, poems, language books, textbooks, and more. One specific shelf is dedicated to daily newspapers and periodicals. Since many dailies publish educational materials for students, most of us often visit the library to read them. Our school library is also a common place where students and teachers meet and discuss various academic topics. It remains open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is a very useful resource for us. Students and teachers alike use their free time to read and enrich their knowledge here.

আমাদের স্কুলের লাইব্রেরি

লাইব্রেরি হলো একটি জায়গা যেখানে বিভিন্ন লেখকের এবং বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে লেখা বইগুলো শৃঙ্খলাভাবে বুকশেলফে সাজানো থাকে। এটি জ্ঞানের ভান্ডার হিসেবে পরিচিত। একটি স্কুল লাইব্রেরি ছাত্র-ছাত্রী ও শিক্ষকদের জ্ঞানের পিপাসা মেটানোর জন্য বই সরবরাহ করে। আমাদের স্কুলে একটি বড় এবং সমৃদ্ধ লাইব্রেরি রয়েছে। এটি স্কুলের প্রথম তলার এক কোণায় অবস্থিত এবং এটি সুন্দরভাবে সাজানো হয়েছে। লাইব্রেরিটি দুইটি অংশে বিভক্ত। এক অংশে রয়েছে একটি প্রশস্ত পাঠাগার কক্ষ এবং বই ইস্যুর একটি কাউন্টার। একজন লাইব্রেরিয়ান এই কাউন্টারের দায়িত্বে থাকেন এবং বই দেওয়া-নেওয়ার কাজ পরিচালনা করেন। কাউন্টারে একটি কম্পিউটার রয়েছে, যেখানে ইস্যু এবং রিটার্নকৃত বইয়ের রেকর্ড রাখা হয়। প্রতিটি ছাত্রকে একটি লাইব্রেরি কার্ড দেওয়া হয় এবং তারা লাইব্রেরি থেকে বই ধার নিতে পারে। একজন ছাত্র এক সপ্তাহের জন্য বই বাসায় নিয়ে যেতে পারে। লাইব্রেরির অন্য অংশে আলমারিতে ও বুকশেলফে বইগুলি সুন্দরভাবে সাজানো থাকে। পাঠাগার কক্ষটিও বড় এবং সেখানে সারিবদ্ধভাবে টেবিল ও চেয়ার রাখা আছে। প্রতিটি টেবিলে একটি করে মহামূল্যবান গ্লোব রয়েছে যাতে বিশ্বের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূগোল বিষয়ক স্থানগুলো দেখানো হয়েছে। এই গ্লোবগুলি ছাত্রদের ভূগোলে আগ্রহ বাড়াতে সাহায্য করে। টেবিল ও চেয়ারের মাঝে হাঁটার জন্য যথেষ্ট জায়গা রয়েছে। ছাত্ররা এখানে বসে বই পড়ে এবং মনোযোগী ছাত্ররা প্রয়োজনীয় নোট তৈরি করে। আমাদের লাইব্রেরিতে প্রায় দুই হাজার বই রয়েছে। এসব বইয়ের মধ্যে গল্প, উপন্যাস, নাটক, কবিতা, ভাষা, পাঠ্যবই এবং আরও অনেক ধরনের বই রয়েছে। একটি নির্দিষ্ট শেলফে শুধুমাত্র দৈনিক পত্রিকা ও সাময়িকী রাখা হয়। বর্তমানে অনেক পত্রিকায় ছাত্রদের জন্য আলাদা উপকরণ প্রকাশিত হয়, তাই আমরা প্রায়ই লাইব্রেরিতে গিয়ে সেগুলো পড়ি। আমাদের স্কুল লাইব্রেরি ছাত্র-শিক্ষকদের মিলনের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থান। এখানে তারা বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে পারে। লাইব্রেরিটি সকাল ১০টা থেকে বিকেল ৪টা পর্যন্ত খোলা থাকে। এটি আমাদের জন্য অত্যন্ত উপকারী। ছাত্র-শিক্ষকরা ফাঁকা সময়ে এখানে পড়াশোনা করে নিজেদের জ্ঞান সমৃদ্ধ করেন।
